We're home.

As of Saturday February 7, we are living on Gobbler Knob. Highland house is almost empty, yet still unsold.
Almost all of our furniture is in its new location. Today's big project was the mounting of the tv over the fireplace in the living room, which involved punching our first holes in our new walls. Thanks to good engineering work by Chance and Paulette, it hangs there now and hasn't come crashing down after about 3 hours.
We have bunches of snow.

January 31 Update

The house arrived on January 6. Paulette began the massive task of painting the whole inside and was given free reign in choosing colors. Things are moving along more slowly than we might hope, but we think we finally have most things set up and ready. We got hit with some really cold weather which didn't help things much. Had a minor water problem which we were happy to see get fixed under warranty very quickly. We are awaiting installation of the skirting and satellite television, and will then consider the set-up process done. Will slowly start moving furniture and belongings as weather permits. The Man Cave is pretty complete and we are looking forward to celebrating Super Bowl Sunday on the big screen.

More Progress:
Foundation is set for the arrival of the house.

November 14 -- SheetRock is going up in the Man Cave. Satellite TV is installed.

Electrical work is getting done. We were glad to be able to see all the wiring at this stage. Things will start getting covered up next week.

Today we went to each property corner and snapped a photo showing the different perspectives.

October 25, 2008

Construction has started on the garage. Concrete was poured on October 15, Framing started on October 20.

The garage is 32X40 including a 12X32 Man Cave. The cave has plumbing to accomodate a bathroom and kitchen.
